What is the difference between Gob and COB LED?

GOB is based on ordinary LED modules, with a layer of epoxy resin glue on the surface of LED lamp beads to protect the lamp beads from bumps, dust and water. COB does not have LED lamp beads. The light-emitting chip is directly soldered on the PCB board and then coated on the surface.

What is the difference between SMD and Gob?

SMD is to solder LED lamp beads on the PCB board through the SMT patch process. Due to the small contact area of the solder not, even a slight bump may cause the lamp beads to fall off. and it’s not waterproof and moisture-proof. Even though it works perfectly for some indoor situation, but in a relatively humid environment or in scenes that are easily splashed by water (such as bars, KTV, swimming pools, hot springs, etc.), it is necessary to perform the GOB process on the surface of the LED lamp beads to prevent water from entering the screen surface and causing a short circuit, and to prevent the lamp bead solder joints from oxidizing and rusting due to moisture.
